JoJo Ramsden – SWBC Business Growth Mentor

JoJo is an International Strategic Business Growth Expert, with unique work experience gained over 30 years in four
continents in international sales and marketing, events management, and business, language and cross-cultural training.
This has included for the British Council Taiwan, INTO University Partnerships and the University of Exeter, UKEAS,
Taipei City Mayor’s Office, US and Canadian Chambers of Commerce, and Department of International Trade.

JoJo graduated from the University of Westminster with a 2:1 BA Hons Modern Languages Degree in Mandarin Chinese
and French, and as a result, worked in numerous prestigious organisations including the British Council Taiwan, part of
the British Trade and Cultural Office.

Among numerous achievements during this time, JoJo trained 300 Mandarin speaking bilingual stand assistants for 150
UK University representatives for the annual British Council Education Exhibitions and British Festival, a showcase for
British products. Additional projects have included the roll-out of best practice across British Council offices and
establishing the set-up of numerous joint ventures.

JoJo also graduated with an MBA from the quadruple-accredited Lancaster University Management School, specialising
in International Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Business Growth. During this time, she focussed a dissertation
and company report on assisting a training company to grow from £1m annual turnover to £5m. She was put forward by
the business school and selected by this company based on her ability to gain a rapport with Senior Management Team
decision-makers and get to the crux of the matter of how this training company could reach the decision-makers in
FTSE100s in order to achieve their objectives.

Her unique skills lie in an ability to turn a creative idea into a successful business proposition, and enable the companies
involved to grow to their desired level, which has been successfully completed for a range of not-for-profit government
organisations, and private companies from SMEs to multinationals.
